Yeah, but ie9 it is rated "bronze", as in barely fucntionnal. Arstechnica has a habit of making articles on browser shares that might help you make your mind about things.īut if you really want to see your site with IE, I think the only surefire way is at the very least with a virtual machine and a copy of Windows, or dual-booting.

I have tried both in a win7 Virtual machine, and I haven't seen any difference mind you.

I don't think it matters if the browser is 32 or 64 bit per se, but Crossover is strictly 32 bit at this time anyway. You will probably be wasting your time as IE9 is know not to work. So if you're going to fool around with versions of IE other than 6 or 7, I would go for probably IE9 for win7, as any other version will be dumped along with XP and Vista. In Vista, I believe ie9 is the latest explorer, but Vista is also basically at end of life for standard support since april, and extended support scheduled for april 2017. In XP, ie8 is the latest on that platform, but XP is already at the official end of life for standard support, and extended (read commercial) support will end in april 2014. There's no harm in trying 8, 9, or 10, but I wouldn't really have high hopes if I were you.

For as far as I know, all other versions will not be very useful for you. Right now, only ie6 and 7 are functionnal with Crossover.
